  1. I have always found this technology troubling. What exactly does a Smartphone do that my 3G phone (free when I signed a 2 year contract 3.5 years ago) cannot do? It has also replaced a need for a wristwatch. If we did a tetrad for a wristwatch, or a wallclock, what would we find?

  2. Hi Danita,
My response to the SMARTphone tetrad and Lisa's question is if the phone can do anything your computer can do such as communicate through the Internet using applications such as dropbox storage and social media, it is smart. SMART is actually a company which develops this technology but its name has been linked to all types of communication technology.

  3. Interesting Lisa. I no longer wear a watch and I have to use my phone to see what time it is when I'm out and about. That's a good question. Did the cell phone replace the wristwatch?

Danita- I was thinking, are land lines going to go away completely? Are we not even going to be able to have a land line eventually? Or will it still be up to the individual if they want to pay for the service or not? Also, do I really want to give up the ability of talking to someone on the phone in my pjs? :) Holographic communication would mean you have to get dressed before you can make a phone call. It will be interesting to see where all this technology takes us in the future.
